1. Are Kung Fu / Tai Chi classes accessible to everyone?

All classes offered at Instinct Martial are beginner-friendly. It is your responsibility to inform your instructor in advance of any conditions or limitations that may affect your practice. If in doubt, it’s best to get medical clearance from your doctor. That said, in all cases, it's important to respect your physical limits during training.

2. What is a Discovery Class?

It’s a session exclusively for new clients at Yoga Avenue, offered at the price of $10, taxes included. One purchase per client only. Non-refundable and non-transferable. This pass has no expiration date.

5. Do I need to bring any equipment or accessories?

No equipment or accessories are required, except for a yoga mat to attend Yoga/Pilates classes. (Available for rent at $2 + tax). You may also want to bring a water bottle and a towel if needed.

 

6. What kind of clothing should I wear for Kung Fu / Tai Chi classes?

Wear comfortable clothing suitable for physical activity. All classes are practiced barefoot.

 

7. Do you have changing rooms?

Yes, we have changing rooms with lockers and showers. Bring your own lock if needed. (Locks available for rent at $2 + tax).

 

8. Where can I park easily and hassle-free?

We offer 3 hours of free parking to active members and trial participants. Use the underground parking and bring your parking ticket to the studio to validate it. Free parking is also available at Marché Ste-Foy. INSTINCT MARTIAL is not responsible for fees incurred from lost parking tickets. 9. Do I need to reserve each time?

Yes, you must reserve every class you wish to attend. Upon arrival, you must check in at the front desk.

 

10. How can I cancel or reschedule a booking?

All cancellations or rescheduling must be done at least 60 minutes before your session through your online profile. We do not process requests by phone. Penalties may apply.

 

11. How do I cancel or extend my membership?

All membership cancellations or extensions must be requested via email at info@instinctmartial.com. No requests are handled by phone. Be sure to include your full name, phone number, and reason for the request in your email. Cancellation fees apply — please refer to our Terms & Conditions for full details.

 

12. What is the most economical membership option?

If you attend more than once a week or more than five (5) times per month, the regular unlimited membership is the best value. This membership renews monthly from the purchase date, except for the one-month option. It gives you unlimited access to all scheduled classes!

• 1 month unlimited: $129.99 + tax

• 4 months unlimited: $109.99 + tax (recurring)

• 12 months unlimited: $99.99 + tax (recurring)

 

13. If I want to attend only once a week or less, what do you recommend?

The pay-as-you-go membership is the best option in this case. Purchase a prepaid bundle of 5, 10, or 20 sessions and attend classes at your own pace.

• 5 sessions: $109.99 + tax ($22/session)

• 10 sessions: $199.99 + tax ($20/session)

14. What plan do you offer for the Parent-Child Kung Fu class?

We offer a monthly subscription specifically for the Parent-Child class. This membership grants access to the entire family for one monthly fee.

• 1 month unlimited: $159.99 + tax

• 4 months unlimited: $139.99 + tax (recurring)

• 12 months unlimited: $129.99 + tax (recurring)

That said, we can customize memberships based on your needs. For example, if your child wants to join regular classes, they can enroll with a regular membership. You can then accompany them to the Parent-Child class using a pay-as-you-go pass.

15. What is the VIP plan?

Our VIP monthly membership gives you unlimited access to both of our studios, Yoga Avenue and Instinct Martial! For one monthly fee, you get unlimited access to all classes on the schedule.

16. What is the student discount?

We offer a 20% discount for post-secondary students upon presentation of a valid student ID. Applicable on monthly memberships and pay-as-you-go passes.

We offer a progressive discount for families, applicable only to monthly memberships and for immediate family members living together:

• 1st membership: regular price

• 2nd: 20% discount (e.g., $80/month instead of $100)

• 4th: 40% discount (e.g., $60/month instead of $100)

• 5th: 50% discount (e.g., $50/month instead of $100)
